OLD TOWN-Yvonne E. Currier, 84, died peacefully January 14, 2020 at an Orono health care facility. She was born March 30, 1935 in Old Town a daughter of Edmond O. and Elizabeth M (Simon) Boucher. Yvonne was an avid Bingo player and follower of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She enjoyed knitting hats and giving them away. She was a hard working woman and an amazing mother. She is survived by five children Leander Cookson Jr., Mary Helen Coffin, Christopher Cookson, Geraldine Fox, Allan Cookson, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; two sisters Joyce Perry and Juanita Griffith, two brothers Roland Boucher and Edmond Boucher; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Currier; two infant grandchildren, three sisters Evelyn Nash, Marie Ann LaBelle, Delphina Damboise; three brothers Clement, Nelson, and Edgar Boucher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Wednesday January 22, 2020 at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, 429 Main St Old Town. Spring interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
