MILFORD—Wayne Edwin Currier, 82, died August 7, 2024 at Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. He was born November 23, 1941 in Milford the son of Clara (Johnston) and Bernard Currier.

Wayne proudly served in the United States Air Force and worked as a security officer at the Old Town Mill and the University of Maine. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching sports on TV. He was a great companion to Sharon and they enjoyed dancing at the Eagles Club. He loved to make fudge for hos kids on their visits to Maine and was passionate about his ice cream. He will be thought of and missed everyday.

He is survived by his life partner of 29 years Sharon Kimball; four children Angel and Dan Jones, David Currier, Susan Currier Bagley, and Kathy Clayton and her husband Billy; two step-sons Travis Kimball and Neile and Troy Kimball and Angela; grandchildren Amber, Jacob & Zackory Wages, Shawn, Anthony and Andrew Taylor Currier, Michael Phillips, Nicholas and Dakoda Scott, and Mariah Cheyenne Clayton

He was predeceased by his parents, grandson Levi and sister Corinne Smith.

Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
