Obituary

Old Town - Vivian L. Guay, 92, died peacefully July 30, 2019, at an Orono health care facility. She was born November 9, 1926 in Bradley, a daughter of Ralph Sr. and Esther (Bouchard) Guay. Vivian will be remembered for her feisty nature, her love for people and playing Bingo. She worked many years at the University Motor Inn and babysat in Old Town. She enjoyed visits to her sister in Rhode Island. She is survived by five siblings Gloria Kennedy of RI, Shirley Morrison of Windham, Jean Scribner of Orono, Sonny Guay and his wife Donna of Old Orchard Beach, and Joan Hocking and her husband David of Eddington, many nieces and nephews and God Daughter Carla Kennedy. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Richard "Dick" Guay and nephew Mark Guay. Friends may call 5-7PM Thursday, August 1, 2019, at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St. Old Town. A graveside service will be conducted 1P.M. Friday at St. Joseph Cemetery Old Town. A reception will follow at Birmingham Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's hospital www.stjude.org The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Orono Commons and Beacon Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Vivian.
