Victor Charles Holmes GREENBUSH—Victor Charles Holmes, 63, passed away at his home on Monday February 16, 2026 following a very lengthy battle with mental illness. He was born December 8, 1962 in Bangor a son of Donald W. and Anna (Stary) Holmes. Victor was raised on the banks of the Penobscot river and loved living there. Victor loved all creatures big and small, and could usually be found with one of his 4 legged best friends, he was a kind soul and would catch the spiders and let them out rather then kill them (after teasing someone with it). He was a very proud father and grandfather (Papa) to 1 son, 5 grandchildren, and 1 very special great grandchild. Victor loved all things with motors and was always tinkering on something. He collected anything and everything he could, in case he needed it one day. When Victor wasn't working at Holmes Cycle, he enjoyed spending time with his dogs and his grandchildren, always teasing them. He also loved relaxing by the lake and playing cards, whether it be poker or cribbage, you can bet he was gonna have the best hand! Victor was predeceased by his mother Anna Stary Holmes, 4 brothers Kenny, Richard, Eddie and Danny Holmes. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kelly, and his son Joshua and special daughter in law Sarah Webber; five grandchildren Mykayla, Cody, Bailey, Marley & Sarah Jane Webber and one great grandchild Oktober Webber; sister Donna and husband Mark Dalton and brother Andy Holmes and life long friend Lisa Bouchard many special nieces and nephews. and a special stepdaughter Tiffany Long.
