Veral D. Young Old Town-Veral D. Young, 84 died peacefully March 8th, 2019 at a Bangor health care facility. He was born May 2nd, 1934, in Old Town, a son of Ralph Sr. and Ena(Priest) Young. Veral had a passion for raising a garden and especially loved growing sunflowers. He spent many hours playing solitaire and working on the woodpile. He enjoyed sitting and telling stories of the old days with family and friends and enjoyed his visits to Stonington. One of his favorite things to do was to drive to family events for barbeques and holiday gatherings. He especially liked visiting with the grandchildren and great grandchildren to get updates on their busy lives. He is survived by 6 step children; Sharon, Mary, Brenda, Robin, Cynthia, and Patricia, sister-in-law Sharon Young, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Georgina, step son Clifford, great grand daughter Courtney; six bothers Dale, Ashley, Weldon, Ralph Jr., Arnold, and Damon and four sisters Elvie, Thena, Ethelyn, and Nadine. Spring graveside services will be at the West Old Town Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
