Obituary

Tim Yerxa age 67 passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at his beloved camp on Eskutassis Lake in Lowell. He was born August 19, 1958 in Old Town, Maine to Almon "Nemo" Yerxa and Rita (LeClair) Yerxa. Tim graduated from Old Town High School. He started his career as a heavy equipment mechanic at HD Smith. From there he went to Beauregard Equipment in Hermon. In 2000, he and Paul Smith started their own company, Parts Alternative Inc in Bangor. He enjoyed a rapport with his customers, many becoming lifelong friends. Tim truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; ice fishing, especially the annual Schoodic Lake Derby; hunting, notably with family and friends in Greenfield; working on his numerous projects at camp, and relaxing at camp surrounded by his friends and family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Debra Taylor, his children Jessica Taylor and Christopher Taylor, his grandchildren Kamryn Kiss and Mason Audet, four siblings Donald Yerxa and his wife Patricia, Robert Yerxa and his wife Debora, Leota Arsenault, and Mary Dorr; many nieces and nephews.
