Theresa Marie Cavanaugh Milford-Our precious mother passed away March 28, 2021. She died peacefully with her children by her side. Theresa was born October 27th, 1941 in Old Town, the daughter of Alfonse and Pauline (Witherbee) Laforge. She attended St. Joseph's catholic school and graduated from John Bapst High School. She retired after many years working for the University of Maine at Fogler Library. Theresa had many interests that she enjoyed. She loved history, gardening, swimming, and skating and always enjoyed a good laugh. She was very talented and made many thoughful gifts for her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her family whom she raised with much love and devotion. She always made time for everyone, attending many sporting events of her children and grandchildren. She was everything a mother could be, loving, kind, thoughtful and she loved her family unconditionally providing love and support making everyone feel special. Theresa is survived by her loving family; four children Terry and her husband John Paul, David and his wife Sandra Cavanaugh, Lisa and her husband Scott Dionne, Jackie and her husband Donnie Coffin; six grandchildren Jessica Paul, Kristen Murray and her husband Matthew, Valerie Curtis and her husband Matthew, Sarah Cavanaugh-Prokey and her husband Eric, Mathew Cavanaugh and his significant other Kristen Quill, and Heather Stephens and her husband Jared; Great-Grandchildren Benjamin, Connor, Teaghan, Grayson, Gavin, Bailey, Mackenzie, Abram, Elise, Noah and Hadley Brother Skip Laforge; nephew Robert Laforge and special family member Rosie. She was predeceased Infant son Patrick Christopher, grandson Joshua Coffin and her parents. Special thanks to Northern Light Hospice for their kindness and support. All services will be private.
