Bangor - Tammy Lyn Michaels (Nash), 48, passed away on July 30, 2024 after a long illness, in Bangor, Maine. Born on February 28, 1976, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Allen L. and Carolee Mae (Field) Nash. Tammy attended Hayfield High School in Alexandria, VA, and graduated from Old Town High School, class of 1994 in Old Town, Maine. She furthered her education at the University of Maine at Augusta with her degree in Computer Information Systems. Tammy was a cherished photographer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Throughout her life, she owned and operated several businesses, including a daycare, a portrait studio, and a company specializing in computer programming and web design. Her passion for photography was not only a profession but also a beloved hobby. The only thing that Tammy loved more than Photography, was spending time with her family. She celebrated life each day, lived in the moment and her positivity and laugh were absolutely contagious. She worshipped at Charleston Church in Charleston, Maine, where she was a valued member of the community. Tammy is survived by her husband of 26 years, David A. Michaels, Jr., and their three sons, Tyler J. Michaels, Daniel D. Michaels, and Parker K. Michaels, along with his wife, Catherine Mae (Richmond) Michaels of North Carolina. She is also survived by her parents, Allen L Nash and Carolee (Field) Nash of Old Town, ME and other extended family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love to all those who knew her. Friends and family may call from 1-3PM on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A celebration of Tammy's life will take place at 3PM on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Birmingham Funeral Home. In honor of Tammy's commitment to helping others, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Tamurai's Adventure Scholarship Fund. This fund supports students passionate about pursuing careers in medicine, particularly those affected by neurodegenerative illnesses.
