Steven "Stevie" Snell, 56, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2025.
Born on September 23, 1969, in Bangor, Stevie lived a full and joyful life rooted in family, friendship, and community.
For 25 years, Stevie was a dedicated employee at Old Town Canoe, where his hard work, craftsmanship, and good-natured spirit earned him the respect and admiration of all who worked beside him.
A lifelong football fan, Stevie was a proud supporter of the New England Patriots and rarely missed a game. Sundays were sacred to him. He cherished spending those afternoons surrounded by loved ones, good food, and laughter. Whether he was at the grill cooking up a family BBQ or sharing stories with friends on the island.
His family and friends will forever cherish the countless memories they created together and the love he shared so freely.
He was predeceased by his mother Theresa Bartlett, sister Shannon Snell, brothers Scott Sapiel, Shawn Snell, Sheldon Snell, his beloved Uncle David and his niece Felicia Snell.
He is survived by niece Sarah Mae Snell, nephews Brandon and Joe Robbins, auntie Sue Sapiel, Krystal Sapiel, David Jr. and family, Marcus Sapiel and family, several cousins and his special cousin Troy Fitt.
There will be a graveside ceremony Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 12pm with a celebration of life and potluck luncheon following at the Sockalexis arena on Indian Island.
