Greenfield TWP – Sharon A. Melgey, 71, passed away at home on December 22, 2023. Sharon was born in Connecticut on August 8, 1952, the daughter of Walter and Rose Mrozowski.

Sharon grew up in Connecticut and graduated from East Hampton high school and worked farming in her early years after high school. On October 3, 1970, she and William (Bill) Melgey were married at St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich, Connecticut. In 1981, Sharon and Bill relocated to Maine and started their own dairy farm in Greenfield and were successful for many years.

When Sharon wasn’t working at the farm, she enjoyed being lost in one of her many coloring books she had floating around the house.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 53 years, William (Bill); her daughters, Sally and Christine and her grandson, Mike.

Honoring her wishes, there will be no formal services.
