Robert M. LaGasse, 73, passed away August 9, 2022 at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Old Town, July 12, 1949, the son of Leonard and Marion (Dyer) LaGasse. Robert spent 25 years as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Old Town. After his retirement, he worked in facilities maintenance at the Old Town Airport. Robert was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge, BPOE #1287 and the VFW, Post # 3381. Robert was a loving husband and father, and a good person all around. He will be missed by many family and friends. Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Paulette (Pelletier) LaGasse; daughters, Daisy Smith and Tina Miller; 8 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Steve LaGasse, John LaGasse, Sharon Richardson, and Delores LaGasse; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Leonard LaGasse. Family and friends are invited to call 2-4pm and 7-9pm, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St. Old Town. Graveside committal will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town with Rev. Kyle Doustou, celebrant.
