Obituary

Old Town – Robert Edward "Bob" "Bobby" Boucher, 90, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, at his beloved home on Pushaw Lake, with his wife and family by his side. He was born July 12, 1935, in Old Town, the son of Edward C. and Constance E. (Webb) Boucher. Bob graduated from Old Town High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957. Following his military service, Bob built a strong work ethic through years of dedication at Lily Tulip Corporation—known locally as "the Pie Plate"—as well as working as a delivery driver for Humpty Dumpty and LaBree's Bakery, and later at the James River Mill, where he remained until his retirement in 1997. Bob was a member of the Fr. Druillette Council, Knights of Columbus, where he also enjoyed time with friends in the KC Bowling League. He found his greatest joy in the simple things—life at the lake, pontoon boat rides, tinkering with small projects, and gathering with family. He had a deep love for his dogs, Mckeever, Laddie, and Odie. Bob will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, his one-liners, and the steady presence he brought to those around him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Patricia "Pat" (Nadeau) Boucher; his children, Cheri Clement and her husband Rick, Chris Boucher and his wife Jenny, Keith Boucher and his wife Lisa, and Karen Beaton and her husband Robbie. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Sean Clement and his wife Jenna; Megan Clement and her partner Stephanie Comstock; Jeffrey Boucher; Josh Boucher and his wife Courtney; Adam Boucher and his wife Kayla; Tyler Beaton and his wife Mackenzie; and Zachary Beaton. Bob was a proud great-grandfather to Brennan Clement; Eloise and Aven Beaton; Tatum and Miles Boucher; and Liam and Jett Boucher. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Hesseltine; sisters-in-law Donna Bouley and her husband Tony, and Dottie Dionne; brother-in-law Ronnie Nadeau and his wife Louise; along with his lifelong friends Donna and Sonny Guay, and Wally and Robin Mishou; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sisters Jean Butler, Teresa Harris, Dolly Angotti, Kay Pelletier, and infant sister Corinne; his brothers Don, Norman, Dickie, and Buddy; and his lifelong friends Bill and Gloria Dionne. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to neighbors Joe and Nikki Doucette, Erin Ruimy, and Donnie Young for their kindness and support, and to the compassionate team at St. Joseph Hospice, especially nurse Kris, for the care and comfort they provided. At Bob's request, there will be no formal services at this time. A celebration of life gathering will held June 6, 2026 from 1-4PM at 693 Woodland Ave Old Town. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Town Animal Orphanage, P.O. Box 565, Orono, ME 04473.
