Old Town – Rachael M. Wollstadt of Old Town passed away November 23, 2025.
Rachael was born May 17th, 1983, daughter of David and Genie Wollstadt.
Rachael was an avid sports fan, she loved football and most sports but ice hockey was definitely her favorite. She was a skilled athlete and began skating at a young age. She also played field hockey in high school and in college played field hockey and lacrosse. Ice hockey was always top billing, something she shared with her dad, David. They spent countless hours attending games, watching television and discussing ice hockey. Her wardrobe was filled with orange and black t-shirts of the Philadelphia Flyers and their mascot Gritty.
All aspects of music were also close to Rachael's heart. After she received her degree in audio engineering she went to Tennessee and worked for several recording studios in Nashville. Being in Nashville put her at the hub of the music industry. It gave her much gratification and she loved it.
Rachael loved cats and first became a cat mom with the adoption of Frank. After Frank passed then came two new kittens Princess Brian and Sophia. She was devoted to Princess and Sopha, they were her companions and a great source of comfort and consolation through challenging days.
Rachael was predeceased by her father David. She is survived by her mother Genie of Old Town; sisters Andrea and her husband Noah Emery of So. Berwick and their children Luke and Stella Duquette, Lana and Peyton Emery; Alexis and her husband Younes Chouyat of Lake Alfred, Florida and daughter Zahra Chouyat; Mary of Brewer and Becca of Old Town. Rachael is also survived by aunts and uncles, Mary Nadeau and Katie Thompson of Corinna; Becky Nadeau of Bangor; Andy and Andrea Nadeau of Winthrop; Jeff and Dorothy Nadeau of Florida; Wally and Raynelle Nadeau of Virginia; Loyd Wollstadt of Illinois.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorial tributes may be made in her name
to any cat shelter or cat rescue organization.
