Milford - Natalie A. Stormann, 102, passed away March 22, 2026, at a Bangor Hospital. She was born December 25, 1923, in Milford, daughter of Franklin L. and Helene (Kneeland) Avery.
Natalie (Daphie) was a 1942 graduate of Old Town High School and lived most of her life in Milford. She married George F. Stormann Oct. 18, 1942, in Old Orchard Beach who died in 2004. She retired from the University of Maine Orono in 1986 after 21 years of service.
She was a faithful member of the First Congregational Church of Milford all her life. Besides her love of the Church, she enjoyed and cherished the 'Maine Life' and spent her childhood at the original Avery family woods camp in Greenfield and where five generations of family and friends met often for hunting and fishing gatherings. She loved to recite camp memories involving her three younger sisters.
She is survived by her son Wayne F. Stormann (Nita) of Bangor, daughter-in-law Pamela
Stormann of Orono, three grandchildren, Natalie Stormann of San Francisco, Alexandria
Curlow (Chad) of Los Angeles, Noam Stormann of Bangor; three stepgrandchildren, Kerrie (Jack) Ford, Belfast, Blaine (Nicole) Demont, Old Town, and Stephanie Demont (Micky Godin), Herman; two great-grandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren: several nieces and nephews; and a special friend Mary Latno.
In addition to her parents, husband and son Warren, she was predeceased by three sisters, Gloria Salisbury, Nadia Rand, and Betty Comstock and one stepgreat-grandchildren Alesha Godin.
Graveside services are planned for July at the Milford Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Natalie may send gifts in her memory to the First Congregational Church of Milford, 126 Main Street, Milford, Maine 04461.
