Michael A. “Hippy” Guay OLD TOWN—Michael “Hippy” Guay, 62, died unexpectedly from a heart attack at his residence June 15, 2020. He was born September 11, 1957 in Bangor a son of Maurice and Claire (McLaughlin) Guay. Mike was a history buff, loved to make model trains, loved his Harley collectables and 70s Metal. He was a kind and generous man, who would do anything for someone in need. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union and was employed at the Old Town Mill for many years and recently had been employed at the University of Maine. He enjoyed the companionship of his kitty Moosie. He is survived by cousins Danny Guay and Rosemarie Guay, uncle Hector Guay, and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents.
