LaGrange— Matthew E. Parsons, 42, left this world unexpectedly on July 29, 2025. He was born on January 16, 1983, to his mother, Bernadette "Babbi" Dancer, and father, Eugene Parsons. Matthew was born in Dover-Foxcroft but grew up in Garland and Dexter. He attended Dexter Regional High School and moved to LaGrange in his adult life. Matthew is survived by his Mother, Bernadette; siblings, Alanna, Christopher, and Janice; loving Aunt Toni, Uncle Glen, and Aunt Becki; cousins Jennifer, Joshua, and Chelsea; caring neighbors Debbie and her partner, Bobby; Jeanie; and his best furry friend, Niko. He is predeceased by his Father Eugene, Sister Veronica, Grandfather Merle, Grandmother Jaunita, Nephew Gage, and his forever faithful furry friend Mudd. Matthew was the type of person who loved with his whole heart and nothing less, with a little mischief sprinkled in to keep his loved ones on their toes. He spent his time doing many things, including playing the drums, which he started at a young age and continued throughout his life. He would also do what his mother would describe as "techy things". These techy things included working on various components of his car, the speakers, things around his house, or anything he could get his hands on. Matthew also enjoyed his dirt bikes in his younger years and graduated to motorcycles in his adult life. The space Matthew held in our hearts is large, and his absence is immeasurable. A graveside service will be held on August 10, 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery on the Campbell Rd. in Garland. The celebration of life will be held at the Garland Fire Hall immediately following the service.
