Martin L. "Marty" Stitham
MILFORD—Martin L. "Marty" Stitham, 74, died unexpectedly April 12, 2020 at a Bangor hospital following a sudden illness. He was born January 28, 1946 in Old Town a son of Elden Stitham and Edith (Smith) Stitham Trimm.
Marty was a proud US Army veteran having served during Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was employed at Penobscot Shoe and retired from Toys-R-Us in 2008 following more than 20 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and football.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marie (Mitchell) Stitham; two sons James Stitham, and Scott Stitham and his wife Rebecca; grandson Sumner; two brothers Richard Stitham and his wife Linda and Elden "Gary" Stitham; two sisters Maxine Papineau and Lorraine Conway; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Elden, mother and step-father Edith and Gerald Trimm; brothers Robert Stitham and Thane Trimm, and sister-in-law Brenda Stitham.
