OLD TOWN—Mark Allen Gould, 62, died March 1, 2026 at a Bangor hospital following a fiver year battle with cancer. He was born September 15, 1963, in Bangor, Maine to Melvin C. and Blanche W. (Smith) Gould.

Mark attended Old Town schools and was a Old Town High School graduate. Mark was a genuine, kindhearted, outgoing person, liked by many people. He was fun loving and a jokester but you also knew how much he cared for you. Mark enjoyed time spent with family. He enjoyed hiking, hunting and fishing and watching baseball. Mark was a dog lover, but especially his pugs.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, his significant other of 25 years Kathy Lucas, brothers Melvin and Marvin, sister Judy, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister Brenda Festerman, his brother Philip Gould, two nephews David and Jimmy, his niece Jessica, special cousin Cheryl W. Smith, and close friends Steven LaMarre, Bo and Barbara.

A graveside service will be held at Lawndale Cemetery in Old Town later in the year.
