Obituary

Marjorie Ann Mills Paul, 87, died January 25th 2022 after a period of failing health. She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 4th 1934 daughter of Bertha Louise (Woodbury) and Owen Mills. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Richard C. Mills of Woburn, Massachusetts and a sister, Ruth L. Foley of Key Largo, Florida. She leaves two sons and their wives: James M. And Lois A. Paul of Atkinson, New Hampshire; John J. And Theresa L. Paul of Old Town, Maine, In addition she is survived by her grandchildren Nichole Anderson and her husband Keith, Jessica Vigneault and her husband Luke, Kristen Murray and her husband Matthew. Great grandchildren Benjamin Eastman, Elise Murray and Summer Anderson as well as many nieces and nephews in Massachusetts, New York, and Florida. Marge was employed as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Maine for 25 years. She received her Associate's degree, with Honors, from University College in 1989, and a Bachelor's of University Studies, Cum Laude, from the University of Maine in 2000. She served as an elected member of the Old Town School Board. She held several positions with ACSUM the Union representing Classified Employees at the University of Maine. She was also active in activities with the Penobscot Valley Senior College and ALDA (Association of late deafened adults). The family would like to thank Brewer Center for Health and Rehabilitation, Dignified Medical Care, and Constellation Health and Hospice for the care she received during these final weeks. In memory of Marjorie, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
