Brewer - Lurlene "Lu" Mae Jameson, 91, left this world on the morning of September 3, 2019. She was born in Old Town, Maine November 29, 1927, the first born child to Rethel and Mayfair (Grant) Agrell. Mama was a lifelong homemaker and foodie. Her early plans to become a dietitian was always evident on the dinner plate; where she always carefully presented "color and balance." She enjoyed most activities and especially enjoyed needlepoint, knitting and her lifelong enjoyment of reading about all things food; how to grow it, prepare it, serve it and eat it. In her later years, she might confess to her own personal favorite food groups - desserts and bacon, well earned after 91 years. She is survived by two daughters, Penelope Jo Goodwin (Lynn), and Lillian Vale VanSluys (Henri) of Sorrento; four grandchildren, Todd, Matthew, Jennifer and Angela; nine great grandchildren; and two brothers, Paul and Wayne. She was predeceased by husbands David Daigle and Earl Jameson; and brothers Bill, Carleton, Rod and Laverne; and two baby sisters Janine and Flora. A very special thanks to Patty, Dr. Sherry, Angela and staff who all added immense joy to the last few years of her life through their attention and caring. Heaven is real, and as you left that hospice suite on Tuesday morning Mother, we are confident you had an amazing day! We will always hold you in our hearts as you fly free, then rest in joy-filled peace, Mama. A graveside service at Lawndale Cemetery will be held Thursday September 26th at 1:00pm. Donations in Lu's memory may be made to any charity of choice.
