BRADFORD & JEFFERSON – Lois M. Williams, 90, passed away on October 5, 2024 in Orono. She born on November 11, 1933 the daughter of Edith (Emerson) and Merrill Orff, Sr. Lois was raised by her grandmother in Waldoboro. She married Richard W. Williams and in the 1966 they bought a farm in Bradford. Together they farmed and raised 4 children. After Richard died in 2004, Lois bought a home in Jefferson where she enjoyed her golden years. Lois loved saving cookbooks, gardening, dairy farming and all animals especially cats. She is survived by her children, Cheata Williams of Bradford, Jamie Williams Sabine and her husband Chris Sabine of Hudson, Ricky Williams and his companion Brenda Murphy of Bradford; siblings, Donald Orff of Thorndike and Maxine Ahlhom of Warren; sister-in-law, Orffa Orff of Weatherford, TX; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard "Dick" Williams; daughter, Bonnie Williams; siblings Dorothea "Dot" Dority, Merrill Orff, Jr and his wife Joann; Russell Orff and Bertha Wood; and sisters-in-law, Mary "Babe" Lewis and Alice Orff. A celebration of Lois's life will be held at 10am, Friday, October 11, 2024 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main Street, Old Town with the Rev. Donald Booker officiating. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery, Williams Rd., Bradford.
