Obituary

Linda Mary Harris OLD TOWN—Linda Mary Harris, 78, died peacefully November 29, 2025 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born August 30, 1947 the daughter of Clarence A. and Pauline B. (Bishop) Thibodeau. Linda's life was one filled with creativity, quiet joys, and deep devotion to those she loved. In 1977, she ventured to California, where she built a life and career in retail, forming friendships and memories that stayed with her always. In 2011, her heart brought her back home to Maine, where she found peace in familiar landscapes and the comfort of family. Linda had a gift for working with her hands. She delighted in wood crafts, restoring and reupholstering furniture, and bringing new life to pieces others may have overlooked. She loved taking long, peaceful drives along the coast, where the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves seemed to speak to her spirit. Some of her happiest moments were spent on cruises and during the cherished yearly week aboard a houseboat—times filled with laughter, rest, and the simple joy of being surrounded by the people she loved. She is well remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, which brought joy and laughter to those who knew her. Her homemade bread was a treasure all its own, a true expression of her warmth and care. Family gatherings were never complete without it, and those who were lucky enough to taste it will always hold that memory close. Linda also had a special place in her heart for her beloved chihuahuas—Weeza Mae, Poncho Villa, Yosemite Sam, and Polly Augustine—each one a loyal companion who brought her comfort and joy. Above all, Linda will be remembered for her immense love for her family. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment she shared with them. Her legacy is one of kindness, creativity, and a love that endures far beyond her time here. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jerry Wesley Harris, son Davy Clarence Curtis, daughter Janice Susan Meader-Curtis, sister Paula Emerson and nephew Dustin Dawson. She is survived by a daughter Lisa Curran and her husband James of Old Town; step-son Jeffrey Harris of Etna, three grandchildren Christopher Dean Curtis, Travis Cory Brown, and Angela Jade Ruda; granddaughter Lena Jayne Harris; four sisters, Sandra Vaillancourt of Old Town, Bonnie Saucedo and husband, Jaime of Morro Bay, CA, Judy Avery and husband, Robin of Greenfield, ME and Caren Torres and husband Hector of Paso Robles, CA; nieces, Tonya Doucette, Sonia, Karina and Marissa Saucedo, Jamie Mckay, Destiney Dawson, Sierra Flores, and Amber Molloy; nephews Ryan Vaillancourt and Archie Torres; great nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Emma, Stella, Parker, Kaylie, Andrew, Rylee, Logan, Jacob, Maddox, Reuben, Ian, Nico, M.J. and Adrian.
