Old Town - June Janet Bouchey, 80, passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2017. She was born on October 6, 1935, in Presque Isle to Ernest D. and Zoe (Levasseur) Smart. She was predeceased by her parents, six brothers and sisters and a son, Stephen Bouchey. She is survived by her husband, Leo (Jack) Bouchey; a son, David Bouchey of Holden; a daughter, Belinda and her husband Charlie LeGasse of Old Town; a granddaughter, Michele, and her husband Lincoln Kenney of Henniker NH; and three great-grandchildren, Lyndsay, Nicholas, and Alyson. She is also survived by a brother in Nevada and a half-sister in Washburn, as well as several nieces and nephews. June attended MCI in Pittsfield until she moved to Presque Isle with family. There she worked in a pharmacy and at a beauty salon. She met Jack, and they were married on October 29, 1955. They moved to their home in Old Town in the fall of 1969. June was a loving wife and mother who loved to bake and she enjoyed long walks daily. Relatives and friends are invited to call 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St. Old Town, where prayers will be said at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be at a later date.
