Joyce Marion Rickett

Greenfield Twp – Joyce Marion Rickett, 69, died unexpectedly April 21, 2026 at her home- her peaceful cabin in the woods that she so dearly loved. She was born March 11, 1957 in Bristol, CT a daughter of Robert and Margaret (Slade) Rickett.

Joyce grew up in Gardiner, Maine and was employed in local businesses in the area where she was a very hard worker. She and her mother fostered many children. Joyce had a love for animals, especially her dogs. She loved living in her cabin in the woods of Greenfield, with her beloved dogs and life long companion Mark Bangs. In her younger years she enjoyed camping, canoeing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, skiing, and fishing. She also enjoyed cooking and socializing.

She is survived by her lifelong companion of 34 years Mark Bangs; brother John Rickett and his wife Melissa; niece Jessie Stover, three nephews William Stover, Ryan Doyon, Paul Doyon; brother-in-law William “Smokey” Stover. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters Elizabeth Stover and Roberta Doyon
