Joseph M. Burgess

Old Town—Joseph M. Burgess, born on Mother’s Day May 13, 1968 died unexpectedly of a heart attack on his 52nd birthday, May 13, 2020.

Joe loved to served the Lord and volunteered countless hours at Crossroads Ministries. Joe was proud of his Native American heritage and collected Eagles and Wolf artifacts. He was a very thoughtful and giving person, who would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He wrote many poems, inspired by his love for God. He loved his cat Midnight, that his friend Allen has now adopted. He enjoyed music.

He is survived by his mother Linda Davis, a son Aaron, sister Tonya Modery and her husband RJ and two nephews.

Private services and burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono

A celebration of his life will be announced when lockdown restrictions are lifted.
