Jeremy Wood, age 54, passed away unexpectedly due to a medical event at his home in Greenbush, Maine on February 1, 2026. Jeremy was born in Bangor, Maine on February 27, 1971, the son of Bertha Randall, Lorna Adams Wood, and James Roy Wood. He grew up in Orono, Maine where he attended high school and graduated in 1990. In 2007 Jeremy founded Northeast Concrete, starting with just a single cab truck, and one trowel. Through determination and a steadfast work ethic, he grew his small business into a thriving and respected company, proudly working alongside his two sons. Jeremy will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his sons, Jacob and Joshua, and his beloved wife, Audrey, with whom he was about to celebrate 29 years of marriage. Jeremy cherished spending time with his family at their home on the river, where he devoted himself to countless personal and business projects over the years. From a young age, he had a passion for riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and motorcycles- a love of adventure he shared with both his sons and wife, creating lifelong family memories. A devoted father, Jeremy could always be found cheering on his sons in every sport and hobby they pursued. Whether on the field, in the garage, or at the racetrack, he gave his all to support and guide them with encouragement and love. He also treasured time spent at his family's camps on North and South Twin Lakes in Millinocket- places he deeply loved and where he found peace and happiness throughout his life. Many cherished memories were made there with family and friends. Jeremy's steadfast loyalty extended to his close circle of lifelong friends. Bonds formed in youth remained strong throughout his life, He was always willing to lend a helping hand, never seeking recognition or anything in return. Jeremy's memory will live in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is preceded in death by his mother Bertha Randall and his father James Wood. He is survived by his loving wife Audrey Wood; his sons, Jacob and Josh Wood; his mother Lorna Kraemer; his sister Beth Cross and her husband Dale Cross; his nephews, Nicholas Fernald and Dylan Frost (fiancé Delaney Sargent); his great-niece, Denver Frost; his great-nephew, Jagger Frost; his brother Nicholas Wood; and his sister Patricia Wood. A celebration of life will be held at Birmingham Funeral Home in Old Town on Saturday, February 7th, with visitation starting at 1 pm followed by the service at 2 pm. A reception will be held at Pat's Pizza in Orono after the service.
