Jeanne Marie Dalrymple HAMPDEN—Jeanne Marie Dalrymple, 70, died unexpectedly June 14, 2025 at a Bangor Hospital.. She was born July 1, 1954 in Old Town a daughter of William Stanhope and Beatrice Marie (Driscoll) Smith. Jeanne will be fondly remembered for her caring and compassionate nature. She was a devoted mother to her children, especially as an amazing caregiver to Melissa. She enjoyed caring for others. Family was very important to her, but her friends were just as close. She relished the opportunity to chat with her friends as she tended bar at the American Legion. Sundays were her day; she prepared and cook food for the patrons, but the real excitement came when she called the Bingo games. Her caring nature brought her to volunteer her time at the Veterans Home and she especially enjoyed the shopping trips. She is survived by her partner Francis Kingsbury; son Gary Dalrymple Jr. and his wife Angela; grandchildren Isabelle, Nick, Thomas, and Julianna; siblings Philip Smith and his wife Debbie, Darlene Young and her husband Ricky, and Mike Smith and his wife Linda; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Melissa in 1997; her parents, and brother Randy Smith. A celebration of life gathering will be held 12-3PM Saturday June 21, 2025 at the American Legion Hall Park Street Orono.
