James Alan Lynch
MILFORD—James A. "Jimmy" Lynch, 61, died unexpectedly with family by his side October 2, 2024. He was born October 23, 1962 in Bangor a son of Richard and Carol (Rogers) Lynch.
Jimmy, as he was affectionately known by many, was a proud man, well loved and genuinely respected. He was proud to be "Papa" to Mackenzie and Maddox and "Daddio" to Meisha Belle. An avid NFL fan, he was always rooting for the New England Patriots but had been known to root the Pittsburgh Steelers as well. He was meticulous about the care for his vehicles, especially with his Hellcat. His love for cars also transferred to his love for NASCAR. He loved to travel, tropical destinations were always a favorite. He was a heavy equipment operator for Sargent Corporation for 40 years. Above all else he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed being a househusband and was always taking care of things around the house and shooing Minya out of the kitchen. He loved to cook and experiment with recipes. A well groomed and well dressed man, he will be remembered for his witty one liners and ability to make those around him laugh.
He is survived by his wife and life partner of 40 years (36 married) Minya L (Gomm) Lynch; daughter Meisha Belle Nickerson and her husband Mike, who was more than "just" a son-in-law; two grandchildren Mackenzie Lee and Maddox James Nickerson; two sisters Laurie Mitchell and her husband Charlie and Kristine Young; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister Teresa Dow; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his Life will be October 19th at the American Legion, Water St., Old Town from 4-8PM. Feel free to bring your favorite dish to share.
