Old Town - Hester R. LaBree, 83, died June 16, 2021, at a local hospital. She was born May 31, 1938, in Old Town, a daughter of Jesse M. and Julia M. (Darling) Young. She was a 1956 graduate of Old Town High School. She was a faithful communicant of Holy Family Church. She is survived by stepdaughter, Laura Badger and her husband, Floyd; grandchildren, Bob and Jeanne Royle, Bill and Lisa Royle, Julie Royle, Amy and John Kinsley; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Erica, Abbie, Katelyn, Hannah, and Daniella; sisters, Avis Ewer, Velma Mayhew, Delma Collins, and Nina Hadley; brother, Donald Young; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon "Pat" LaBree; sisters, Beatrice Page, Charlotte Curtis, Helen Ewer, and Irma Parent; and brother, Milton Young. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Burial will be at Lawndale Cemetery. All are invited to the Parish Hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship.
