Georgia “Dolly” Alma Sharpe

ARGYLE-- Georgia “Dolly” Alma Sharpe, 94, passed away May 28, 2020 at ORono Commons following a short bout with cancer. She was born September 11, 1925 in Oakfield, ME a daughter of Harry and Geneva (Tibbetts) White.

She graduated from Patten Academy. She resided in Argyle for many years, working in local shoe shops for several years and retired from the University of Maine Post Office.

She is survived by son Barry Bennett and his wife Ruby, daughter Gwen Dean; sisters Ruth Mitchell and Earlene Grant; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Edwin “Sam” Bennett; husband Ellery Bennett, Manley Sharpe, and Robert Cunningham; sister Mary, Arlene, Rhodie, Ocena, brother Harry and a grandson.

Private burial will be at Hoyt Brook Cemetery, Argyle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alton Methodist Church
