Frank Daniel Dyer Jr. "Danny", 78, passed away peacefully at his home on December 29, 2025. He was born on November 27, 1947, in Bangor, Maine, to Francis and Christine (Thibodeau) Dyer.
Danny was one of a kind. He found the greatest joy in life's simple pleasures—time spent with those he loved and a cold beer in his hand. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at camp on Pushaw Lake with his beloved wife, Rose. A proud Army veteran, Danny served his country during the Vietnam War. He remained active in the veteran community as a member of the VFW and American Legion, where he formed many lasting friendships over the years.
In his downtime, Danny was an avid NASCAR fan, with a special fondness for Dale Earnhardt. He loved a good time and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children, Cindy Berry and her husband Steve, Scott Ouellette and his wife Jamie, Lisa Ross and her husband Stephone; grandchildren, Melissa, James, Lila, Nelson, Damian, and Cody; brother, Tommy Dyer and his wife Betsy; nieces Samantha, Justine, and Heather; as well as many great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Rose; grandchildren, Kayla Heasley and Ryan Heasley; sisters Linda and Sandy; and his parents.
The family would like to thank Jessi, Stella, Maaike, Dale and Maine Home Care for their excellent caregiving assistance over the last year.
A graveside service will be held at Lawndale Cemetery in Old Town in the spring.
