Old Town – Edward F. Osborne, 81, passed away November 12th, 2025 surrounded by his family, pets, and the spirit of his beloved wife at their home in Old Town.
Edward is survived by his sons Daniel and Matthew, and his loving dogs Wags and Wiggles. He is predeceased by the love of his life, his rock, his wife of 50 years Marcia, and his parents.
Edward lived a life defined by service, love, and a well-earned sense of humor. After a period of active duty in the U.S. Navy, he went on to proudly serve nearly 25 years with the Maine National Guard. Alongside his military service, he built a long and successful career with General Electric, where he worked for over three decades before retiring.
In retirement, Edward embraced the simple joys of life. A passionate baseball fan, he cheered on the Red Sox and Dodgers with enthusiasm, and never missed a chance to root against the Yankees. He also had a soft spot for professional wrestling, tuning in to WWE whenever it was on. Though he worked hard throughout his life, Edward truly thrived in his later years, relaxed, content, and surrounded by the things and people he loved most.
Edward and Marcia married and built their life together in Old Town, where they raised their two sons. They took great pride in the home they bought, paid off, and filled with laughter, love, and family memories. Marcia was Edward's heart, his constant companion, and his strength. Those who knew him found comfort in knowing that, at last, he is reunited with her, together again, and at peace.
Burial services for Edward will be Friday November 14th at 3pm at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
