OLD TOWN - Edward "Spoons" Michaud, 91, passed away peacefully April 11, 2015 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1923 in Old Town, ME, son of Leo and Edna (Clark) Michaud.Edward worked his whole career at the pulp and paper mill in Old Town, retiring at age 62. Once retired, he found a new passion in playing the "spoons" and taking up golf. Edward is survived by his son, Gordon Michaud and wife Theresa; grandson Ed Michaud and wife Cynthia; great-grandson Matthew and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and five brothers; Leo, Francis, Robert, Clark, and Martin.The family would like to thank the staff at Helen Hunt Health Center and Dr. Christopher Johnson for their care of Edward.At Edward's request there will be no formal funeral services and a private burial will take place in the late spring.
