Edward spent most of his life in Hermon and most recently resided in Veazie. From an early age, he was grounded in the values of hard work, dedication, and service which were principles that remained the foundation of his life. He shared a loving and enduring marriage with his late wife, Joanne, with whom he built a life centered on love, commitment, and family. In 1972, they welcomed their adopted son, Mark, who remained a constant source of pride and joy. Edward took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Logan and Alexis, and as a great-grandfather to Eastyn, Blakelyn, and Deakyn. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness, especially in his later years. He is survived by his son Mark; his grandchildren, Logan and Alexis; great grandchildren, Eastyn, Blakelyn, and Deakyn; brother, Charles and sister, Evelyn; special nieces, Amy Moody, and Jeri Leonard; his cherished Bicycle Crew of Lakeland, Florida; the daughter he never had, Jean Hayes; his devoted caregiver, Lynda Garnett; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Edward was a faithful attendee of the Frankfort Congregational Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual comfort. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joanne; his brothers, William, and James; and his granddaughter, Grace.
