Diana Lynn Crooker

BANGOR—Diana Lynn Crooker, 65, died peacefully following a long illness September 19, 2025. She was born in Bangor February 20, 1960 a daughter of Alfred J. and Shirley M (Hutchins) Buxton.

Diana loved to cook and bake, some of her specialties included birthday cakes, gingerbread cookies, breakfast breads, lasagna, and chowders (corn, fish, and lobster). Her love of cooking expanded to her work life as she was employed at Read’s Bakery and LaBree’s Bakery. She was always helping and caring for others including volunteering at Eastern Maine Medical Center and cleaning elderly folks houses at Talmar Woods. She had a great sense of humor, a love of cats including a special cat “Coke”; and she had a love of Stephen King novels and horror movies.

She is survived by son Gabe Crooker and his girlfriend Theresa York, daughter Naomi Rosebush and her husband Dave; three grandchildren Hope, MacKenzie, and Jonathan; nephew Brandon; three brothers Kenny Buxton and his wife Shelaine, Tommy Buxton and his wife Lea, and Christopher Buxton, several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.

A celebration of life service will be conducted 3PM Saturday Sept 27, 2025 at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. Burial will be at the Cardville Cemetery, Greenbush
