Glenburn - Daniel J. "Da" Vanidestine passed away unexpectedly August 19, 2021. He was born to James T. and Mary (Spencer) Vanidestine on May 20, 1948. Dan graduated from Bangor High School in 1967. After graduation, he joined the military. In April 1971, he married the love of his life, Andrea (Clukey) Vanidestine. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife, Andrea; two children, Shawna (Vanidestine) Hachey and her partner, Aaron Boyington, and Shane Vanidestine and his wife, Jenny; three grandchildren, Brittany McPhee and her husband, Mike, and Sebastian and Piper Vanidestine; two brothers, James Vanidestine and wife, Doris, of Pennsylvania, along with Thomas Vanidestine and wife, Honey, of New York; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Winchester of California and Jan Hussey and husband, Roland, of Hampden; along with several nieces and nephews. His most favorite things in life were being a husband of 50 years, a father to his 3 kids, Da to his 4 grandkids and having his faithful K9 companion "Reno" by his side at all times. Being a 3-time Vietnam Vet was his biggest honor in life, as well as being a Patriot and Veteran to his country. A celebration of life with military honors will be held 1 p.m. September 18, 2021, at 36 King's Court, Glenburn, ME. Donations may be made in Danny's memory to K9's for Warriors, P.O.
