Colin Brent Smith
May 29th, 1966- November 29th 2025
Colin Brent Smith passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59. His death is a tragic reminder that the disease of addiction can take a hold of anyone's life. Colin will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor and his passion for drawing and tattooing. We will forever hold the memories of his smile, sarcasm and his love for his family and friends. Colin liked everyone and in return everyone liked Colin. He was the kind of guy with a big heart who put others needs over his.
Colin attended Old Town High School and graduated with a GED. He moved to Indiana where he was an Arborist. After returning to Maine, although he was jack of all trades, his true passion was when he was a mechanic working for Marty Carmichael's Trucking. His last known employer was Compotech.
Colin was born in Bangor, Maine on May 29th, 1966. He was the youngest of 11 children. Although he was a brother, he was like a son. He is survived by his sister Harriet Trombley and husband Bernie, his sister Pamela Carmichael and special brother-in-law Marty, his brother Warren Brasslett and significant other Rena, sister Jeannie Brasslett, his brother Terry Smith, brother Monte Smith and sister Sherry Smith. One surviving aunt Glenice Dugan and one surviving uncle William Cooper. He also had a special bond with all of his nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased at a young age by both parents Donald and Dorothy Smith. Also was predeceased by brother Donald Smith II, brother Randy Lee Smith, sister Kathy Legassie, nephew Terry Smith II, nephew Derek Smith and a special brother-in-law Reginald Curtis
Friends and family will gather 2-4PM Monday December 15, 2025 at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where a funeral service will be conducted at 4PM with Meldon "Micky" Carmichael, officating. Spring burial will be at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
