Charleston—Betty Dyer, 73, died peacefully December 29, 2025 at her residence. She was born December 4, 1952 in Harltand, Maine a daughter of Walter and Rose (Vanhorn) Knowlton.

Betty worked as a hand stitcher at Sebago Shoe Company in Westbrook for many years. She enjoyed harness horse racing and loved to attend the races during fair season. She is survived by her life partner of 50 years Harry Smith; a son Cleon Dyer; step daughter Crystal Smith; two grandchildren Mikey and Zoey Dyer.

A graveside service will be announced in the spring at Berry Cemetery Denmark, Maine
