Althea Katherine Mitchell

Milford—Althea Katherine Mitchell, 99, our beloved Matriarch, passed away peacefully August 17, 2025. She was born October 28, 1925 in Costigan, a daughter of Ralph and Agnes (Grant) Shirland.

She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth F. Mitchell, Sr. in 1984, daughters Gloria Mitchell and Diana Cote, daughter-in-law Vicki Mitchell, son-in-law Marty Stitham, five sisters and one brother.

She will be sadly missed by her children David, Ronnie, Ken Jr., Rodney, Michael and his wife Lori, Steven, Joe and his wife April, and Marie; son-in-law Gilman Thibodeau, 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Relative and friends will gather 4-6 PM Wednesday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A graveside service will be conducted 11AM Thursday at the Cardville Cemetery, Greenbush
