Orono— Alexandra "Alex" Myers passed peacefully at her home at the age of 29. Alex grew up in Orono until she was 21. She grew up fishing, snowmobiling, and four wheeling with her father. She then took a journey to the south (Tennessee) to be with another close part of her family. Alex worked in a few different homes over the years. She worked with adults with intellectual disabilities. She worked everywhere from assisted living to memory care, nursing homes, and home care. Alex took pride in caring for others. She endured a lot of things but never let it bring her down.
Not only did Alex take care of others, but she also took care of animals. She loved her rescue dogs. She called them her babies and took care of them as so. Her late Candace Grace passed 2023 and she leaves behind another pitbull baby, Gidget. Gidget was by her side until Alex's last moments.
Alex loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved her NCIS, SWAT, and Grey's Anatomy. She would often be found binge watching them over and over. She would do anything to find a beautiful waterfall with her "sister" Jamie. They shared many adventures to say the least.
Alex is predeceased by her stepmother Amy Garland Myers, grandmother Beverly "mams" Myers.
Alex is survived by her father, Brian Myers and her mother, Stefanie Brewer. She leaves behind her beloved fur baby. She is also survived by her brother, Mitchell Myers of Orono; her sister, Sabrina Brewer of Blaine, her boyfriend Justin Ortiz, and their son, Jaxen Ortiz; and her step sister Jordyn Cardona and her Husband Thomas, of Holden. Sabrina and Alex had a special bond. They became very close and very in tuned with one another. Alex was so proud to become an aunt to Sabrina's little boy. Alex is also survived by her aunt, Brenda Myers of Pennsylvania, who held a dear place in her heart. Alex looked up to her as a mother and she did everything she could do to be there for her. Her uncle, George Myers of Pennsylvania; Alex looked up to him in many ways. He was and always will be her second father. Cousin, Jamie Myers of Pennsylvania; they had a sister bond and loved to go on hikes together, shopping, and can't forget their Starbucks runs. Jamie and Alex were inseparable many times and had a bond like no other.
A few special friends Alexs wants to know she's thankful for" Bridget Vinal, Elizabeth Hardison, Cassiee Conroy, Courtney Green, Colby Smart and William Nutting.

Mom, I love you.
Also thank you for the Garland family. Especially to nana & papa along with Brittney. Not only did they offer help, but they also helped her with anything she needed if she asked or even without asking.
Special thanks to Juanita Dall for being around Alex's whole life but always checking on her, trying to feed her, as she declined. Alex had a special love for Juanita. To Chad Eddy and Leo Kenney for checking on Alex, a special thanks to Kim Ehman for going above and beyond.
Plenty of cousins, aunts, and uncles survive Alex as well. Cousins, Shawn and Shirley Myers from Old town ME. They held a special place in her heart.
An enormous thank you from Alex and the family to St. Joseph's hospice care. An important thanks to Kris (her nurse), Rissa (her aide), and Christine (her social worker). They took very good care of her.
As Alex wished, she will have a service held at on September 6th at 1:00 PM at 79 Mill St, Orono. Friends and family are welcome. A celebration of life will be held after the service.

Below are letters to loved ones written by Alex.
I never thought at 29 we'd be here today. Please, don't cry tears of sadness, celebrate that I lived a good life with a good family.
Dad, you are my best friend and always will be. That will never change. I will always be with you in spirit and close to your heart. Thank you for all the drives with no destination. Thank you for teaching me how to drive, how to fish, and how to drive a snowmobile & four-wheeler. I won't bring up my little pocket rocket you got me, I stayed in trouble Jumping the hill in the backyard and breaking off the exhaust (haha). You have taught me how to stand up for myself and not take any bull from anyone. You're my best friend and I couldn't have asked for a better one. You're easily the best person I would've had the opportunity to walk me down the aisle. You're the best man I've ever met, alongside with Unkie. Thank you for taking care of me at my last stages of life. I love you, don't ever forget it.
Unkie, you're one of a kind. I might be biased, but I got blessed with the best uncle. You always managed to put a smile on my face when I didn't feel like I could smile anymore. Thank you for the bike rides and all the walks around the block. Sorry about the time l pooped all up your arm while my parents were at wrestling (ha-ha. Seriously, thank you coming to Maine and for taking care of me when things started to take a turn. I love you so much.
Mitchell, please know how much I love you and how much you have always meant to me. I always wanted a brother, and you were a blessing to me and the family. You're a good kid and you're so smart, please continue to strive and do good things with your life. I love you, buddy.
Jamie, I'm stumped on where to begin. You're one of my best friends and sisters. l've watched your mother go from pregnant to holy heck, now we have a college student. I couldn't be prouder of the woman you're becoming and |"ll always watch over you. Think of me every time you go to Chili's or see a beautiful waterfall. I love you so much, girl. I told you till death do us part that id always be there for you. But just know, I'm still here for you. l'll be here every step of the rest of your life.
Sabrina, good lord I don't know where to start. There's so many memories, don't ever forget them. I love you long time. I was so proud to watch you be a mom and grow into the person you're meant to be. I love you, baby girl.
Auntie, wow. I don't know where to begin. You are not only one of my best friends but you and "mams" are the best women I have ever known. I admire you for all your hard work. I commend you for putting up with everything I put you through. I'll miss mocking Jamie's little dances in the living room in TN just to see your beautiful smile light up the room. You're beautiful inside and out. You've also taught me how to be able to speak up for myself and always pushed me to be a better person. I know you're probably crying right now but I hope you feel my hand on your back, I'm here with you in spirit. love you to the moon and back, all the way from Heaven.

Also from Alex, We all have good memories. Remember them when you miss me. If you want to spend time with me...go catch a waterfall. Watch the sunset and l'll paint you a pretty picture. Go to the ocean and just sit. Talk to me, I promise, I'm listening. And if you need to cry, my shoulder might not physically be there, but I promise my hand is on your back for support.
